“Written erotica” is apparently still allowed, ostensibly because it’s harder to tell at a glance so a*dvertisers won’t be Big Mad, but that’s the thinnest fucking ice I’ve ever been on, so I don’t trust it. So:
I think currently our plan is to move any future collabs off of T*umblr entirely. RC doesn’t care to use this site anymore for obvious reasons, and since that blog is marked explicit and I’m not sure how that will affect my main blog, I may delete EssieCorking by the 17th. It makes me feel sick to my stomach because we love that blog and everyone who supported it and had fun with us was unbelievably special to us. So, not sure yet, but will update if I decide to do that.
I don’t think I’ll be around @esselley as much anymore. BUT I still feel like Twitter has not afforded me that same level of connection I loved having here. I have to post story snippets and previews on twit as crappy screenshots that nobody really wants to see, I can’t write spontaneous little things, etc (though I just got curious cat and may get TwitLonger). So it’s frustrating. I may still post links to fic updates and other projects (like zines) here for the time being but… I don’t really want to put my energy into such a dishonest site that is fast becoming proudly dominated by a*ntis and p*urity culture.
It’s crazy and sad to me to think of how excited I used to feel about sharing content here; teasing fics, posting updates, talking about my stories. I really lived for that. But this year has slowly killed that joy, from safe mode targeting general LGBT/fandom content, to “best stuff first”, and now finally, this mess. I just… feel disheartened posting here now.
Anyways… bleh. What a shitty update 😦 I’m sorry everyone. I still have lots of stuff I’m working on and will keep posting wherever I can XD Chap2 of that kiri//baku will be up this Saturday, I’ve started… a new TDDK fic I’m super excited about, and I hope to do some holiday stuff as well for HQ/BNHA (hopefully with RC)! So, life goes on.
Let’s keep creating in the face of all this!
