idk about instant bffs but i do think there’d definitely be a deep connection. it’s been a good while since i read the chapter tbh but there’s a particular scene that is just so profound to me that it just takes my breath away. just like mayu and jinenji, the hitomiko chapters revolves around kagome’s determination to save someone who needs help and THIS PART RIGHT HERE

Minus the lord he killed when he was first introduced, kagome is the first human sesshoumaru actually interacts with and from the get go she just gives him hell LMAO and to see them go from that to sesshoumaru saving her of his own accord…. too good. Waaaaay too good. That’s why i jump between platonic or romantic sesskag so much bc it just works well either way dndjdjd
